Start with the library of ready-to-play musical sounds and patterns, or easily create your own. Find your unique style by importing your own tempo-synchronized sounds and loops. And you can use the MC-101 in concert by triggering its clips or working its sounds using physical controllers.

A pocket production studio.
The MC-101 is a professional production tool that has the sounds and many features of its big brother, the MC-707. And there are many advantages to being small! The MC-101 is solid but light and has approximately five hours of battery life on four AA batteries. You can create sounds, drum rhythms and musical phrases wherever you want. But it is not an instrument designed to pose only first ideas of composition. It allows you to create professional quality tracks or backing tracks for the stage.

The MC-101 incorporates a four-track sequencer optimized for the creation of current electronic music. You can use the 16 RGB pads to create drum rhythms, bass or synth lines and create your own music. You get a real musical playground in which you can freely combine individual loops and sounds with melodies, including your own MIDI sequences and audio recordings. You can compose and trigger clips, rearrange them, resample, record automations ...

The MC-101 incorporates the Roland sounds that have defined electronic music for over forty years. The legendary sounds TR-808, TR-909, JUNO-106 and SH-101 are there, ready to resonate or to be combined and modified to produce completely new sounds.

Extensible sounds, patterns and phrases.
Compose from a collection of rhythms, phrases and sounds carefully established by renowned artists and sound designers. But the MC-101 can also behave as an expandable platform. When you want to go further, or explore other musical genres, you can do so by adding new content.

Play your own audio in perfect sync.
Each track incorporating a powerful sample player, you can import your own sounds. It can be your own voice, the sound of your favorite instrument on a computer ... The imported audio can be synchronized with the tempo of the MC-101 or processed by an arsenal of effects and physical controllers.

Produce tracks ready for broadcast.
Thanks to the MC-101's wide range of professional effects, your music will sound like it comes from a multitrack studio. Each track has an independent effects processor offering many variations. A sumptuous Chorus gives depth to the pads and other synth sounds. The Delays and Reverbs simulate sound spaces and add movement to delicate sequences. Overdrive, distortion and amp simulations inject character and intensity to synths, guitars, drums ... You can even send your global mix in Master effects such as filters, Bit-Crushers, as well as a bus Master of compression which will link the whole with punch and clarity.

Produce and share with the world. Using a single cable.
When you're ready to further develop your creations, or share them with friends or fans, simply connect the MC-101 to your computer using a single USB cable. It allows you to take advantage of the USB audio interface possibilities of the instrument and to record a complete stereo mix, or your four individual tracks on different tracks of your software. You can also sample sounds from your software to retrieve playback tracks, stems or sounds from your favorite software synths and use them during your next concert.
