The Cajon Meinl "Vertical Suboofer" is made of MDF for the body and Makah-Burl for the front panel. Unlike traditional cajons, the sound outlet vents are two in number and placed vertically on the corners. A very specific internal architecture helps to develop sound. This results in an improved projection of the low notes, particularly desirable for situations of unamplified acoustic lives. The fixed internal timbre provides a very sharp sound and improves striking in the corners. The result is stunning.
