Most compressors tend to lack clarity and definition in the highs, but the Pulp'N'Peel keeps your guitar's natural sound, with very little noise and plenty of amplitude, allowing it to be used as a boost, before or after your saturation pedals. It works just as well on single pickups as it does on humbuckers. The Blend setting allows you to add the desired level of your original signal. Do not touch the internal adjustment as it is set to a specific voltage. Works only with a standard 9V external power supply (not supplied). This V4 version offers an additional EQ EQ setting to darken or brighten the signal and a Dirt selector that works with the selector on the side to activate the desired amount of overdrive in your signal. The left side has an XLR output so you can plug directly into a console or studio interface, making it an active DI box, with grounding in the event of noise.
