The Guild D-40 Traditional embodies the features that have made the D-40 one of the Guild brand's most loved and revered models. Using a high quality solid Sitka spruce top and solid African mahogany back and sides, Guild adds Adirondack bracing for power, nuance and responsiveness. The three-part mahogany and walnut neck of the D-40 Traditional is topped with an Indian rosewood fingerboard and is joined to the body by an authentic dovetail assembly. This classic Dreadnought is nicely decorated with a "tortoiseshell" pickguard, a rosette and the genuine mother-of-pearl Guild logo inlaid on the head and nickel-plated open gear tuners. A glossy nitrocellulose lacquer gives an elegant finish to this masterpiece, optimizing the beauty and resonant qualities of its premium woods.
