With the Galileo you get the sound of a Vox AC30 and Rangemaster precisely tuned to have the perfect Brian May sound. Since the AC30's preamp circuit is intact in the Galileo (with JFETs instead of tubes) and since a precision Rangemaster-type circuit drives an AC30 preamp, you REALLY get the sound of Brian May. This pedal reacts like an amp and all its complexities. Your guitar volume basically acts as the 4th setting for this pedal as it is much more interactive with the Galileo than any other pedal.
