The original Tel-Ray brand Oil Can Echoes were among the first attempts to mechanically reproduce reverbs and echoes without the use of a spring or tape. Catalinbread have taken this vintage model by removing its limitations by adding more versatile features. The Adineko captures the singing repetitions of the original model while providing control over intensity via the viscosity setting. It recreates that warm, hazy echo by providing more delay time than the original could achieve, via the Timing setting. By playing with the dual playhead concept of the original, the Adineko's repeats can be mixed through the Balance setting, giving the user the ability to customize rhythmic accents by favoring one head over the other. .
