MXR est un fabricant de pédales d'effets basé à Rochester, New York, co-fondé en 1972 par Keith Barr et Terry Sherwood et incorporé sous le nom de MXR Innovations, Inc. en 1974. La marque MXR appartient maintenant à Jim Dunlop, qui continue de produire les unités d'effets d'origine ainsi que de nouveaux ajouts à la ligne.
